Great coffee. Nice decor with the shift references (auto, tech, etc). Tucked away among what looked like other shops with available parking in front. Also this place really partners/supports local businesses and has products from those businesses on display for purchase (bread loaves, honey, etc). Very nice customer service too!

I bought a house in the area not too long ago and have been meaning to try this coffee shop. I finally got to try it yesterday and it is lovely. The employees are very friendly and the coffee and food options are just right in my opinion. Definitely worth visiting this local little spot! The inside is also so adorable being car themed

I recently visited Shift Coffee House and wanted to share my experience. First of all, I really love the concept of this place. There aren’t many coffee shops with such a unique vibe. The staff was amazing, everyone was friendly, smiling, and welcoming. The young team creates a great vibe, which I really appreciated. The interior is full of thoughtful details, especially if you’re into racing . You can tell a lot of effort went into creating the atmosphere, and it’s really cool. I ordered the French Connection sandwich and a cappuccino. The sandwich took quite a while to come out, which was a bit disappointing. Unfortunately, the cappuccino wasn’t really to my taste. It was also quite noisy inside because the kitchen is open, and you can hear everything happening there. The music trying to cover the kitchen noise actually creates a constant loud background. That said, the French Connection sandwich was absolutely delicious. It honestly made up for the small negatives and was the reason this experience still deserves 5 stars. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu. Great place with an awesome atmosphere!

Shift is an amazing coffee shop! Love that they were in this year’s coffee crawl the baristas are always the best they make the coffees great and the sandwiches. Definitely my favorite coffee shop in Sacramento. Pictures are of some seasonal specials that are always super good and unique.

Shift Coffee Shop is an absolute gem. Their grilled cheese sandwiches are outstanding—perfectly crispy and toasted on the outside, soft on the inside, and loaded with cheese that delivers an impressive, arm-length cheese pull. Clearly made with care and quality ingredients. We tried the Firehouse and BayArea Brisket Sandwich which I was expecting to have more meat though. It was equally good nonetheless. Tomato soup is great as well. Perfect for pairing with the grilled cheese sandwich or on its own. The chai latte is excellent—rich, well-spiced, and not overly sweet—and the coffee is equally impressive: smooth, flavorful, and consistently well-crafted. Whether you are stopping by for comfort food, a great latte, or a solid cup of coffee, Shift Coffee Shop delivers on all fronts. Highly recommended.
